Appointment Booking & Calendar Setup
Conviro can check real availability and book an appointment without sending the visitor to another page. Bookings can use Conviro's built-in calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook / Microsoft 365, or an ICS availability feed.
Where to configure booking
Open Dashboard -> Assistants -> [your assistant] -> Experience -> Scheduling.
1. Choose a calendar
Select one of the available calendar options:
- Built-in calendar — start immediately without connecting an external account.
- Google Calendar — click Connect Google Calendar, approve access, then select the calendar that should receive bookings.
- Outlook Calendar — connect a Microsoft 365 / Outlook calendar in the same way.
- Calendar feed (ICS) — paste a private ICS feed to block already-busy times while Conviro stores new bookings internally.
Conviro reads busy times from the selected calendar and writes confirmed bookings to it when the provider supports writing. Changing the provider keeps your working hours and services.
2. Set working hours and availability
- Select your time zone.
- Add at least one working-hour range to each day you accept appointments.
- Set the slot cadence, booking window, minimum notice, and optional buffer time.
- Check the availability summary for invalid or missing hours.
The AI only offers slots that pass these rules and are still free on the connected calendar.
3. Add services
Create at least one named service and set its duration. Clear names such as “30-minute consultation” or “Product demo” help visitors choose correctly. Add a location or meeting type when relevant: in person, phone, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or a custom link.
4. Enable booking in chat
Turn on Chat booking, choose whether to ask for a phone number, configure confirmations and reminders, then click Save. The assistant can now offer times and complete the booking inside supported chat channels.
Test before publishing
Open the widget preview and ask: “Can I book an appointment?” Complete one test booking and confirm that:
- the assistant offers only valid time slots;
- the appointment appears under Dashboard -> Appointments;
- the event reaches the selected calendar;
- the visitor receives the confirmation and manage link.
If no times appear
Check that chat booking is enabled, at least one valid working-hour range exists, a service has been added, the correct time zone is selected, and the connected calendar is not already busy for the entire period.
> Tip: Use the built-in calendar for the fastest first test. You can connect Google or Outlook later without rebuilding your services and working hours.
