Shopify Integration
Connect your Shopify store to Conviro for AI-powered product support, order tracking, and inventory management inside the chat.
Requirements
- Pro plan or above
- A Shopify store (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, or Plus)
- Store owner or staff account with app installation permissions
Setup Steps
- Navigate to Dashboard -> Settings -> Integrations -> Shopify.
- Click Connect Shopify.
- Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g.
your-store.myshopify.com). - You will be redirected to Shopify to authorize the Conviro app via OAuth.
- Grant the requested permissions (read products, read orders, read inventory).
- After authorization, you are redirected back to Conviro.
- The initial product sync begins automatically.
Widget Installation on Shopify
After connecting, Conviro can automatically inject the widget via Shopify's ScriptTag API:
- No manual code editing required
- The widget appears on all pages of your Shopify store
- To customize placement, you can disable auto-inject and use manual embed code in your theme
Product Sync
Conviro syncs your entire Shopify product catalog:

Sync frequency: every 6 hours automatically + real-time via Shopify webhooks for inventory changes.
Order Tracking
When a customer asks about their order:
- The AI asks for the order number or email address.
- Conviro queries the Shopify Orders API.
- The response includes: order status, fulfillment status, tracking number, and carrier link.
Inventory Webhooks
Conviro listens for real-time Shopify inventory webhooks:
- Product updated -- price changes, description edits are reflected immediately
- Inventory level updated -- stock changes are synced in real time
- Product deleted -- removed from the AI knowledge base automatically
Tips
- Use Shopify collections to organize products -- Conviro uses collection data for better product recommendations.
- Enable the order tracking Flow Builder template for instant setup.
- Test by asking your chatbot about specific products and orders after the initial sync completes.
- For Shopify Plus stores, consider using the BYOK option for higher API rate limits.
